How to get there

George Town can be reached via Penang International Airport. Once you get to the airport, there are several express and non-express buses that run into Georgetown, and this is the most cost-effective way to get into the city. You can also hail a taxi or call an Uber but it will be relatively more expensive.

 Another point of entry to Georgetown would be via ferry, as many domestic travelers use this option because it is often cheaper than flying.
